Online Glossaries for Literary Terms:

LTH assignments refer to the "Literary Terms Handbook," a self-created section of your binder filled with samples of literary devices from the novels, poems, and articles we're studying this year.

The websites below will help you find definitions for the terms.  It is not necessary to cite sources for definitions, since they are considered common knowledge.

Breaking Down a Timed Writing Prompt

Click HERE to prepare for your first timed writing.  You will be allowed (only on this first adventure!) to bring one page of notebook paper that includes notes from this powerpoint, a thesis idea, and a reminder of quotes that you might want to use to support your ideas about the symbolism of Richard Parker.  You may NOT write down any ideas from sources beyond your own brain -- no internet research allowed.
